About Our Program
Below we have listed the combination of therapies that we utilise with Evie. Our program is no longer solely play-based, however, we still embrace the attitudinal component of The Son-Rise Program. Tailored to Evie and where she's at in her development, this along with ABM & RPM are best suited to her needs. As Eve says: "Education is key!"
Natural Play Therapy: NPT is a relationship-based approach for all ages and diagnoses. It provides customised, family-centred, play-based, friendship-inspiring programs. Because we ALL need to play more regardless of age or diagnosis! Ian (Evie's awesome dad) is part of a team of certified NPT child coaches.
RPM: RPM helps children who have challenges with expressive language and motor planning communicate. Children usually start out with a low-tech approach like paper choices or an alphabet letter board, and over time progress to devices like an iPad. Soma’s Red Book says it best – “Soma RPM is a teaching method tailored to each child’s open learning channels. It empowers the learner with the best possible method to express his or her thoughts, understanding, learning and reasoning.”
In other words, RPM is not just about basic social conversation or expressing wants and needs. For many children who are non-verbal or struggle with expressive language, RPM has been life-changing. Children who were taught at a pre-school level well into their teens are now doing grade-level work, and communicating through the letterboard etc.
ABM: Anat Baniel Method is a cutting-edge, science-based NueroMovement approach that transforms the lives of children and adults, helping them move beyond pain and limitation. By accessing the amazing power of the brain to change itself, the method helps people discover how to improve the mind and body dramatically enhancing physical, cognitive, emotional and creative performances. ABM can teach you to use movement to awaken your brain, change connections and make new patterns, these changes create differences that you can use in your life and helps us connect more deeply with Eve - it also feels delicious!!

'The Son-Rise Program' was the foundation of Evie's previous program that we still like to inform you about so that you know where our attitudes come from! :) It is a fun, child-centered, in-home Play based Therapy Program founded upon an attitude of love & acceptance. Inspiring and encouraging the child through play to help them connect deep meaningful relationships, creating a wonderfully nurturing & stimulating environment for the child special needs. We use structured play which captures the child’s natural interests motivating them to develop, grow and learn. Celebrating & embracing the child for all that they are. Providing Evie the best opportunity to share & be a special part of this world, & teaching her the joy of friendships. Yes, YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!
With Evie having autism, our focus is that we want to help Evie understand us & the world around her. We want to build a strong, meaningful bond & trust so that she & you can grow & truly connect showing her how wondrous & exciting our world is. As this special program is all about reaching out to our amazing little girl Evie, to respect show and guide her, understanding, loving and helping her to learn through 'fun & play'- the deepest gifts of life! The joy of connecting with us!! Targeting the core challenges of her autism. To help her understand the world and environment around her, which is a really the most vital part of being a 'happy social human being' to be able to connect, share who she is with the world, bond and share deep & meaningful friendships in life.
